Artist Statement
All of my images except one, (foliage), were taken on the farm where I live. Foliage was taken on Asbury's campus. The color scheme, (unintentionally), is mostly blue, green, gray and white. I like blue and green a lot and they are also common colors in nature. Over half of them are taken outside, or of nature, so that could also be a contributing factor to the blue and green color scheme.
This may not be the answer you were going for because she isn't a super famous photographer, and she is certainly not world renown, but I know someone who has become a wedding photographer and I really admire her work. She has created a booming business. I would consider her influential because I like her style and it seems, perhaps, more attainable than a super famous photographer. Also, if I were to go into photography as a profession, I would be interested in wedding or event photography and so finding inspiration among artists in the area of photography in which I'm most interested is important.
I learned the importance of aperture, shutter speed, white balance and ISO when taking a picture. I really enjoyed adjusting each one and noticing what it did to the image quality. It is really amazing how each of these aspects can make or break the image quality.
